France Lake Now Home to Two Life Preservers, Thanks to Family Support
Over the last two weeks, The Brady Effect has proudly placed not one, but two life preservers at France Lake in Kenton, Ohio. This has been a meaningful and personal milestone for our organization.
The first life preserver was placed on June 3rd, sponsored by Brady’s dad, Brian Donnelly, through our Advocate Membership program. During that visit, the team at France Lake shared that due to the size of their property and the extensive water coverage, additional safety stations would be valuable. Without hesitation, our team jumped into action.
Just one week later on June 10th, we returned to install a second life preserver, this one generously sponsored by Jane Donnelly, in loving memory of Gordon Donnelly—Brady’s grandfather. Having multiple generations of Brady’s family support our mission has been both humbling and inspiring. Their love and commitment have helped lay the foundation for what we hope becomes a long legacy of safety and awareness through The Brady Effect.
Our Advocate Membership Program allows our supporters to sponsor life preservers like these, placed at public water locations across our target region. Each station represents a commitment to protecting lives, spreading awareness about water safety, and honoring the lives of those we love—especially Brady. These life preservers are Coast Guard-certified, come with 100 feet of rescue rope, and include all materials necessary for proper installation and visibility. Our team can handle the install ourselves or step aside and leave installation to the departments who oversee these water locations. We will continuously be looking to add additional locations to our list so if you know of a location who may be interested in receiving a life preserver, please reach out to us!
We are so grateful to Brian, Jane, and all our Advocate Members who make this work possible. With every placement, we take another step toward fulfilling our mission: promoting swim safety and education for individuals on the autism spectrum.
While we hope these life preservers are never needed, we also hope they offer peace of mind and serve as a symbol of safety and remembrance.
