Brady’s Birthday: Kickball Edition
This past Saturday, May 24th, we celebrated what should have been Brady’s 26th birthday by hosting what we hope will become our first annual Birthday Event in his honor. The sun was shining, the energy was high, and the love was palpable as our community came together to honor Brady’s life in the most meaningful way: through sport, support, and connection.
In true Brady fashion, and to stay true to his competitive yet fun-loving spirit, we gathered for a (mostly) light-hearted game of kickball. Teams were captained by Brady’s older sisters, Ashley and Kaley, who also serves as the Treasurer on our Board of Directors. With friends and family in attendance, the day felt extra special and deeply personal.
The game delivered seven innings full of laughter, some light-hearted trash talk, and even one homerun. In the end, Team Ashley took the win in what we hope will be the first of many birthday matchups.
After the final handshake and a round of group photos, the celebration continued at Madison’s house. Brady’s dad, Brian, manned the grill, and we closed out the evening the best way we know how, surrounded by good food, shared memories, and the people who love and support The Brady Effect and all that it stands for.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who showed up, played, cheered, and made this day one to remember. We look forward to growing this event each year to keep Brady’s memory alive and bringing our community together through the things he loved most.
Here’s to making this a tradition. And here’s to Brady, always.
With gratitude,
The Brady Effect Team
